The Mamayev Kurgan in Volgograd, Russia is a historical site that is worth visiting. It is a memorial complex that was built to honor the soldiers who fought in the Battle of Stalingrad. The complex includes a 85-meter tall statue of a woman holding a sword, which is known as The Motherland Calls.

The entrance to the complex is free of charge, but there may be fees for some of the exhibits. The complex is open daily from 9:00am to 6:00pm.

In the surrounding area, visitors can also see the ruins of the old city of Stalingrad, which was destroyed during World War II. There is also the Panorama Museum, which features a panoramic painting of the Battle of Stalingrad and is open daily from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
